Changes.. [May. 30th, 2005|09:26 am]
Over the next month there will be major changes for Amare Luna Scents.

Amare Luna Scents is changing names! While we are away for the summer, we will be finishing up the transformation to become Natural Magic Soaps.

If you would like to add the new journal to your friends list, please feel free.

The new online storefront is scheduled to open in late June. We will be unveiling a variety of new soaps at that time, including some great new scents like Tuscan Herb, Chocolate Mint, Clean, Sweet Pea, Vanilla Latte, Banana Bubblegum, Jeweled Citrus and Crystal Sunshine. We will also be featuring a new line of all natural soaps made with vegetable oils, essential oils, silk proteins, prime pressed cocoa butter and filtered natural unrefined shea butter.

What's special about the filtered natural unrefined shea butter?

Although it has been filtered to remove sediments, shell, rock and other foreign matter which might have gotten incorporated into the butter, this type of shea has not been heated with high temperatures and retains all of the natural oils and vitamins.

The soaps produced with this combination are amazingly moisturizing and leave you feeling like you've just applied lotion!

During our down time, we will be attenting ICE Atlanta on June 18th! We'd love to see you out there.

What is ICE?

~> A craft sale of indie designers and crafters throughout the evening beginning at 8 p.m.

~> A fashion show of indie designers at 11:30 p.m. MC Little Jen promises a good time!

~> Music: dp3 will play before the fashion show. Hope for a Golden Summer will play right after the fashion show followed by Part Time Weekends. DJ KYSA will spin throughout the evening.

~> Art: Art show featuring several local artist including Tracy Wagner, Kelly Teasley and others will be on display throughout the event.

For more information, visit the ICE Atlanta website.

Have a wonderful summer everyone!

PR for CR [May. 19th, 2005|07:07 pm]
The newspapers that had us (Craft Revolution) listed on their websites put a blurb about us in the Sunday papers last weekend!

Today I got a copy of one of the papers (none of the 100 on that list are close to me! grr!) and I just am so excited I have to share!!!

Happy Mother's Day [May. 7th, 2005|10:57 am]
[mood |cheerfulyay. flowers.]

I will be taking the entire weekend off from soapmaking. No soap, no labels, nothing!

Of course, I have a ton of soap to make, with ICE coming up so soon...so I feel like I'll be behind; but it'll be worth it in the long run.

Yesterday Ken sent me flowers. He loves me. :o)

Happy Mother's Day to everyone.

new soap :o) [Apr. 28th, 2005|09:15 am]
Why is it that new soap is always so exciting? I have so many soaps in the works for the summer line, but I went ahead and made a special soap that I've been thinking about for awhile.

It's made with Grapeseed Oil, Soybean Oil, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Sunflower Oil, Shea Butter and Cocoa Butter. The water portion is made up of chamomile tea. Cocoa Butter infused with Chamomile, Vit. E, Lavender EO, Tea Tree Oil, Witchhazel, Aloe and additional glycerin are added after the cook. No color, no fragrance oil. Topped with dried Chamomile buds.

This one is a favorite with me already.

(no subject) [Apr. 27th, 2005|09:46 pm]
I've been neglecting my journal of late, but I've been really busy. Today I took care of Zach, worked on two people's websites, updated CR, sent out the CR news, worked with Georgia and the other ladies to craft our next press release, designed a logo for someone, swapped out the advertising on Phinzmania for the updated account and worked out two new recipes.

Whew. I need a vacation just after typing that!

It's all paying off though! Want to see the reward? Click hereCollapse )

Help me find some ribbon! [Apr. 17th, 2005|01:53 am]
[mood |hopefulhopeful]

I want this ribbon but it's been 'temp. out of stock' and I need to order it asap.

Anyone have any suggestions on something similar? I need something ocean-y; blues and green.

Needs to be rather thin, as it's going to be used on cards to hold a charm on them.

I'd prefer hand dyed, something from one of the "Indie" girls or guys out there...something UNIQUE!!!
